How the 12% Is Calculated

Every month, LumenicGrid generates a Savings Verification Report comparing your actual ERCOT settlement costs against a baseline load projection. The difference — verified savings — is the basis for the fee.

Before any fee is processed, you receive the Savings Verification Report and an invoice. You review the itemized curtailment events, the ERCOT settlement comparison, and the savings calculation. Payment is initiated only after your approval. If you dispute a calculation, we work through it before processing.

Pricing Questions

Is there any cost during the shadow trial?
No. The 60-day shadow trial is completely free. No credit card, no commitment. You receive the Savings Validation Report at the end at no cost.
What if GridBrain finds no savings opportunity?
We'll tell you that in the Savings Validation Report. There's no obligation to proceed, and you pay nothing. We'd rather tell you honestly than enter a live agreement where we can't deliver.
What counts as "verified savings"?
Verified savings are calculated by comparing your actual ERCOT settlement costs for the month against the baseline load projection established during the shadow trial. The ERCOT settlement data is the authoritative source — not our model output.
Can I set a minimum savings threshold before live optimization activates?
Yes. During the agreement negotiation following the shadow trial, you can specify a minimum savings threshold below which live optimization pauses. Terms are agreed before any curtailment goes live.
What are the contract terms?
Live optimization agreements are month-to-month with 30 days notice to cancel. There is no minimum commitment period after the shadow trial. Contract terms are presented in full before you sign.
Do you charge for hardware or installation?
No. LumenicGrid integrates with your existing building management system, SCADA, or PLC via software interfaces. If your facility requires hardware for the integration, we will discuss that during the shadow trial intake process.
